The membership of the Association consists of the following classes of members (1) Member – a former police officer or staff member of the Queensland Police Service, or former police officer of any other recognised police service/force who has retired or resigned with honour and has continued to be of good character and repute; 2 Version: Effective 28.10.2025 (2) Senior Member – a member who has been a financial member for ten continuous years and has reached the age of sixty-five years; (3) Veteran Member – a member who has been a financial member for ten continuous years and has reached the age of seventy-five years; (4) Associate Member – a partner of a member or deceased member, or a partner of a former Queensland Police Service police officer or staff member, or any other fit and proper person; (5) Senior Associate Member – an associate member who has been a financial member for ten continuous years and has reached the age of sixty-five years; (6) Veteran Associate Member – an associate member who has been a financial member for ten continuous years and has reached the age of seventy-five years; (7) Life Member - a member of the association who has given long, distinguished and meritorious service to the association and who has been approved by resolution at an annual general meeting of the association in accordance with these rules; (8) Honorary Member – a person who has been of assistance or who can be of assistance to the Association and who has been approved by the state management committee in accordance with these rules. | A Note About Member Applications:
